This is a pencil drawing of a Great Horned Owl. The research for the owl drawing was taken from a number of sources, books, magazines, and several trips to a couple of places with live birds such as the local Audubon wildlife recovery center.
The owl took weeks to complete - I was especially fascinated with the textures of the feathers and did numerous study pieces prior to completing the actual drawing.
